Description
Launched in 2007, the 1VD-FTV is Toyota's first mass-produced V8 diesel engine with a displacement of 4461cc. It adopts cast iron block and aluminum cylinder head, DOHC 32-valve structure, along with Denso common rail fuel system and variable geometry turbocharger. It has single-turbo and twin-turbo versions. The twin-turbo variant outputs 210 kW and 650 N·m, complying with Euro IV to Euro V emission standards. Renowned for strong low-end torque and high reliability, it is widely used for heavy-duty off-road vehicles.
