The 5AR-FE is a China-exclusive 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine upgraded from Toyota’s mature AR platform, fitted with Dual VVT-i and ACIS variable intake technology. Its all-aluminum lightweight structure and port injection design balance sufficient power output, daily fuel economy and easy maintenance. Widely mounted on Camry, RAV4 and Harrier sold in China, it is recognized as a stable, cost-effective mid-displacement household powertrain.
